Our task was to design for the manufacturer of plastic packaging an automatic line for wrapping and transport of pallet loads with roller conveyors with a maximum height of 90 mm so that it can be operated by electric lift trucks.
The interactive touch panel makes the GP SMART wrappers completely intuitive to use. Simple messages guide the user from start-up through the following steps: creating and naming wrapping programs, selecting and changing parameters, handling errors, and possible malfunctions. Some messages are additionally backed up with pictures and graphics indicating the details of the wrapper.

The requirement set by the investor was to achieve the efficiency of 140 pallets/h (for cargos with a height of up to 2400 mm), communication and integration with SAP and WMS systems, possibility to support the line with elevating platform trucks.

The line is composed of a robotic slot for palletizing, automatic ring wrapping machine with a cover system, a series of drive roller conveyors and energy-saving, modern stacker crane to handle the high-bay warehouse.
The growth in production made it necessary to increase the line efficiency and the possibilities to buffer ready products, and to equip the line with scanner readers and devices allowing communication with the investor’s software.
The main task was to facilitate the process of placing orders. The customer required creating a system which makes it possible to complete cargos of various sizes on a single dedicated palette easily and quickly.
