The project was conducted for:
a FMCG company manufacturing snacks. The requirement set by the investor was to achieve the efficiency of 140 pallets/h (for cargos with a height of up to 2400 mm), communication and integration with SAP and WMS systems, possibility to support the line with elevating platform trucks.
The line is composed of:
two automatic ring wrapping machines GEMA-RING 1800 exercising pressure against high and unstable cargos and a pallet lift which makes covering the cargo with a stretch film from “zero” level possible, ramp conveyors (for elevating platform trucks), mechanical pallet lifts, drive roller conveyors, safety elements – optical barriers with a muting function and netting, control box, and software enabling communication with SAP and WMS systems of the investor.
Description of the line:
After placing the pallet containing labelled boxes onto the ramp conveyors with the use of a hand pallet truck, it is passed to the lift, and then: the cargo is lifted to the height of the transport route, the box label is detected and communication with SAP system takes place, the cargo passes through the roller conveyor onto the wrapping machine conveyor, it is lifted to the height enabling packing from “zero” level, the boxes are wrapped automatically according to the set wrapping programme, passed onto the conveyor behind the wrapping machine, provided with a proper inclusive label, detected, and communication with WMS system takes place and the cargo is sorted in proper places in the high bay warehouse.
